Jim is a founding partner of the firm. He has worked within the Accounting profession since 1991 and is a qualified CPA.
“The best part of my work is seeing our client’s businesses flourish,” says Jim. “We’re really committed to actively looking for strategies and procedures that will have a direct benefit to their bottom line,” he says.
Jim offers taxation, accounting and business planning and advice to a range of clients including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, professionals, franchise holders and the construction industry.
One of the things that Jim most enjoys about his work is the two-way relationship he has with his clients. “What we do here goes way beyond just looking after our client's compliance work,” he says. “It’s important for us to understand our client’s personal circumstances and goals so we can mould our advice to help them capitalise financially.”
Jim holds the following qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting Major)
- Certified Practising Accountant
- Registered Tax Agent
- Member of the National Tax Agents Association.
- Member of SPAA (Self Managed Super Fund Professionals Association of Australia)
Business networking is an important aspect of Jim’s working life. He has been an active member of Business Network International (BNI) since 2002 and has attended its 2 last world conferences. “I have built up extensive contacts here as well as in Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, UK and the USA,” he says. “On several occasions, my clients have been interested in establishing overseas operations or connections, and my contacts have proved to be a great resource.”
On the home front, Jim, his wife Susan and their three young children are enthusiastic travellers who try to visit new places as often as they can. Jim also enjoys socialising with family and friends.
Away from work, Jim is a keen motorbike rider who takes great pleasure in long rides on the weekends with friends. He also plays indoor soccer and is a long-time supporter of Wests Tigers. “I remain ever confident that another premiership is in sight,” he says.
