The client came to ATB Partners — Chartered Accountants — with high revenue and low profitability. They believed that they weren’t getting enough support from their previous accountant as they were only provided with basic services. Matt required additional advisory services on how to improve the profitability of the business, minimize tax and build a robust business structure for the future growth of the business.
CONSIDERATIONS
The clients business (Constellation Services) and personal goals were considered prior to giving advice. Most business owners are driven by having a successful business and a work-life balance; Matt’s situation was no different. His business structure needed to be assessed, making sure it was appropriate for meeting the goals of the business. The client also required accounting software to help them to manage their business, to allow them to have more control and to assist them in making better businesses decisions. Each client’s goals are different and the advice we provided Matt was designed specifically to meet his business and personal circumstances.
SOLUTION
Matt was looking for an accountant that could provide him with professional advice and a high level of service. Matt’s business structure was incorrect for what he wanted to achieve. Jim Vass from ATB Partners was able to understand and analyse Matt’s business, providing advice on how to increase profitability, leading to more money in Matt’s pocket.
